Mulled wine & eggnog

Advent, Advent the mulled wine burns… or also the eggnog.

 

The cosiest time of the year is here again and with it the Christmas markets! And what would Advent and the markets be without mulled wine and eggnog? Exactly, only half as nice. That’s why we’re going to show you two super-easy recipes so you can whip up these classics yourself in the near future.

 

Of course, the most important is the ever-popular mulled wine and eggnog.

 

Mulled wine

 

What you need

– 1 bottle of dry red wine
– 1 orange (sliced)
– 2 cinnamon sticks
– Cloves
– 2-3 tablespoons of honey if needed

How to prepare the mulled wine

 

Step 1

 

First, pour the red wine into the pot and heat it slowly (be careful not to let it boil or the alcohol will evaporate).

 

Step 2

Now add the orange slices.

 

Next, add the cinnamon sticks and then the cloves.

 

Step 3

Finally, warm everything up while stirring and then simply pour into cool glass cups and the perfect mulled wine is ready!

 

 

Our next favourite in winter is definitely the eggnog or, as it is called in our country:

 

Die wilde Hilde

 

Here’s what you need

300ml eggnog
350ml white wine
1 ½ pck. vanilla sugar
Rum
Spray cream

How to prepare the wild Hilde

 

Step 1

First, pour the white wine and the egg liqueur into the saucepan and mix until cold.

 

Step 2

Heat the mixture and add the vanilla sugar.

When the mixture is warm (again, do not boil!), pour in the rum.

 

Step 3

Finally, pour the whole thing into cups, garnish with spray cream and the wild Hilde is ready and you are guaranteed to be the hero of every party!
